The opportunity arose when the newly formed IVV was called to participate in an exhibition of objects made from mouth-blown glass, which was held in Capalbio in 1952 and in which Italian and international glassmakers participated. IVV presented this vase in two sizes and, after this appearance, deliberately did not put it into production, to underline the iconic nature of the first piece. The seventieth anniversary of the glassworks is the best time to present it and tell its story.
